Mr. V. Rajan has a professional career span of over 34 years on housing finance, personnel management, information technology, and project implementation. Before joining National Housing Bank in 1988, he was with Government of India (1985 to 1988) and Anna University, Chennai (1984).
Presently in-charge of promotion & development, and financing functions of the Bank, including the implementation of Government Schemes. Earlier he was looking after the regulation and supervision of Housing Finance Companies.
Was on the Board of Mahindra Rural Housing Finance Ltd. as Director (2010 to 2015).
Involved with Government of India in formulation and implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) – Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (PMAY-CLSS). Led a team for development and implementation of 24x7 on-line portal for Primary Lending Institutions to lodge the claims. This portal won the Digital India Award, 2017 under the category of ‘Good for India – Digital Innovation in e-Governance Solutions’.
He is a Post graduate in Public Administration from University of Madras, with additional professional qualifications on Information Technology, Housing Finance, Personnel Management and Law.
